Spanning more than six centuries of history, these pieces invite reflection on how the experience of war shapes emotions, perceptions, and the sense of belonging for those who endure it.
The installations, paintings, photographs, sculptures, textiles, and video works on display evoke the succession of emotions and transformations that accompany every conflict: from the illusion of peace to unrest, from alarm to confrontation, up to the resistance and ruins that follow. A cross-sectional view of historical periods and geographies—from the Risorgimento uprisings to Ukraine, from the Middle East to South America.
Here, art becomes more than mere testimony: it is an act of resilience, a language capable of translating pain into creation and destruction into rebirth. de bello challenges the audience, confronting them with the scars of history and their repetition, yet also suggesting a possibility for redemption. Through participation in resistance, it ultimately inspires peace.

Curated by gres art 671 (Francesca Acquati) and 2050+ (Erica Petrillo, Ippolito Pestellini Laparelli)
Based on an idea by Salvatore Garzillo and Gabriele Micalizzi
exhibition design by 2050+

info for the audience

hours
The exhibition is open to the public:
from Wednesday to Thursday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
(last admission at 6:00 p.m.)
from Friday to Sunday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
(last admission at 7:00 p.m.)

Extraordinary Closures:

From Saturday, August 9 to Tuesday, August 26 (inclusive) for summer closure.

Tickets are available for purchase both on the gres art website and at the ticket office during operating hours.

tickets
Full price €14.00
Reduced price* €12.00
Open full price €17,00
Open Reduced* €15,00

(*) reductions:
– students aged 12-25 with valid ID
– over 65 with valid ID
– holders of the Carrara Card
– special reduced price for FAI cardholders

free admission for:
– children under 12
– journalists with a press pass
– tourist guides with an identification badge
– teachers with a teacher’s ID
– people with disabilities and caregiver
– holders of the Lombardia Museums Subscription

Please note that gres art 671 ticket office and the bookshop are cashless.

WARNING

The exhibition includes sensitive content.

[21
post-1286","evento","type-evento","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tipologia-evento-exhibitions
["GET
