She has reported from Iraq, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Palestine, and many other countries. She has received several journalism awards. She directed the documentary <em>Isis, Tomorrow<\/em>, presented at the 75th Venice International Film Festival, and the documentary film <em>Lirica Ucraina<\/em>, which won the David di Donatello in 2025. She is the author of six books.
