“la cultura della pace” for Nadia Murad
Memory, responsibility, and solidarity to build a more just and inclusive world
The culture of peace is the public program of “De Bello. Notes on War and Peace”: a series of encounters with Nobel Prize winners and international leaders to promote global peace, reconciliation, and human rights.
De Bello: The Culture of Peace — Nobel Laureates in Dialogue at gres art 671
gres art 671, promoted by Fondazione Pesenti Ets, is pleased to present a series of transformative events bringing together Nobel Peace Prize laureates and distinguished international figures, all committed to promoting global peace, reconciliation, and human rights. As a key space for reflection and action, gres art 671 seeks to transcend its traditional role as an art venue, positioning itself as a dynamic international hub for cultural exchange, diplomacy, and peacebuilding. This initiative is aligned with the exhibition De Bello. Notes on War and Peace, which offers a powerful exploration of the psychological, emotional, and physical effects of conflict through contemporary art. By connecting art to the themes of peace and war, gres art 671 will serve as a platform for meaningful dialogue, not only within Italy but around the world, linking diverse cultures and voices committed to the ideals of peace and understanding.
These events feature live discussions, talks, and panel sessions, giving audiences the chance to engage directly with these prominent figures, learn from their experiences, and reflect on how to contribute to global peace and justice.
The second encounter features Nadia Murad, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, who lived through traumatic events tied to the conflict in her community and has since dedicated herself to telling her story, raising awareness, and supporting those affected by violence. Founder of Nadia’s Initiative, she works on rebuilding communities and protecting fundamental rights.
